Medical Examination for US Visa

You do know the Medical Examination for US Visa? You will be required to have a medical exam before the visa interview. You cannot have a visa interview without the medical forms which has been completed by the doctors. The US Embassy only allows authorized hospitals such as Bumrungrad Hospital and Bangkok Nursing Home (BNH) in Bangkok to do these and McCormick Hospital in Chiang Mai.

Medical Examination for US Visa

You will need to get the proper timing as the medical exam must be done before the visa interview. The hospital will give you a sealed letter for the Embassy. You are not allowed to open this letter. The sealed envelope needs to be handed over at the time of interview at the Embassy. If something is wrong there will be a visa denial on medical grounds.

There are a list of tests which need to be done such as a TB check and other health checks which has to be completed. Vaccinations also need to be listed. The US government needs certain vaccinations, any vaccinations done and missing has to be declared at the hospital. You will need to take the following documents with:

• Passport (over 6 month’s validity)
• Four (1.5 x 2 inches) photographs (taken less than 6 months)
• DS-260 or DS-160 Confirmation Page
• Visa interview appointment letter issued by National Visa Center (NVC)
• Completing medical exams form, as follows: visa category, visa case number, present addresses
• Vaccination records
• All relevant information concerning your medical history: any medications

A sealed letter will be given and there should be all the documents from the hospital.

The vaccinations listed are what is expected for all settlement visa application, or that it is medically inappropriate for the visa applicant to receive one or more of the listed vaccinations:
